I don’t really think anyone will understand this comic. I don’t expect them to, and I don’t really want or need them to. It’s sole purpose is to provide me with a break from all other work and regular thinking. This is my Chef Brian. Eat Your Watch is a story about two detectives, it was heavily inspired by the surrealists and the dadaists in the modern arts movement and also Rice Boy. How much the story will make sense I can’t say because I don’t have it planned out in any way, shape or form. All I can say is that hopefully no one takes it too seriously and just enjoys the strange things in every panel. This is a world where all my half-drawn concepts and doodles live. Most of them are very cute. Some are a little terrifying but they mostly keep to themselves.

Du is wearing a bathrobe, not a smoking jacket, by the way. I realize that I should make an effort in the future to draw make that clearer. Also, his shoes are chameleons.

I don’t remember why I chose to change the backgrounds of the panels, just that it seemed like a fun idea. I also made sure that Chiri’s feet are always in a ballet position, though I’ve forgotten most of them now.
